CNC PETS - About Us

Our names are Chuck & Carol (CNC). We live just outside of Charlotte, NC. Both of us are animal lovers, as you will see when you browse our site. As of this printing, we have 16 animals. They consist of 8 dogs, 2 cats, 5 birds and an iguana.

Part of our back yard is split into 3 areas. Two of the areas are for 3 of the dogs that stay outside. 4 other dogs are free to go in and out as they wish. That leaves the one that chooses to live without boundaries. We put her in one of the fenced in areas and in a short time, she is out again. You can read more about her in the “Our Pets” section.

The two cats go just about anywhere they want to in the house. As you would imagine, both of them are very spoiled. As soon as you walk in, they expect a treat or two. If you forget to give them their well deserved treat, they will stalk you until you get it for them. One of the cats, Bush, is more like a dog than a cat. If he decides to lay down somewhere, don’t expect him to move. You must walk around him. I can’t count the number of times I have stepped on his tail. That is a rude awakening around 2 in the morning.

We have a room dedicated to the iguana and three of the birds. Before we leave for work, we always turn on their TV and put it on a cartoon channel. They told us they prefer cartoon over daytime soaps. At night, they get to listen to an easy listening radio station. This help them to relax after a hard day of watching the TV.

The other two birds stay in the living room. Since they get to watch TV at night, we turn on a radio for them during the day. We were leaving the TV on for them all of the time, but they said they were getting bored with watching TV all of the time and they needed a change of pace.
